Double, treble even quadruple drat or woe is me.

It turns out I have probably got Tietzes syndrome from the bouts of coughing caused by the cough/cold/flu I had whilst still clutching the broken rib,my doc called it 'devil's grip' and boy does it feel like it too.I still have quite painful finger, hip and knee joints,so if the new rib pain doesn't start to clear up the doc is going going to refer me to the hospital for tests .......
In other news,my hours at work have been cut by a third, seems the bosses business isn't going so well at the moment,so I am going to put an ad in the village post office asking if anyone needs an ageing scrubber.

Now my income has dropped, the chooks have decided to go off lay for the winter,so no cheep ( Paronomasia intended)protein for me.I feel a deep depression coming on.
Never mind I can always steal the cats mice if things get desperate.

Yuck, that is what I call hitting a bad patch. You should definiely go for those tests if you are having joint pain, don't put it off.

Never mind the mice, train that cat to bring you back a nice leg of lamb.

I know it's against your priciples but it's not against mine. Your income has dropped substantially so it's time to claim benefits until you find more work. You need to claim on Monday to get this weeks claim in.

Rent, council tax, job-seekers or tax credit, Whichever you are entitled to. Get down there and claim tomorrow.

OK, that's tax credits if you work over 30 hours, Job-Seekers if you work under 16. If you fall between the two it may be worth reducing your hours so you can get job-seekers until you find a supplementay job.

Tietze syndrome. I never heard of it but from the Wikipedia explanation it does sounds painful. I hope the docs can help.

Seasidegirl is right. You have worked all these years so if you are not entitled to claim, who is?

You have beaten tougher times so keep your chin up and show life who's boss. xx

P.S. Deleted my earlier comment because I couldn't ignore a spelling error!
